Hi
I am travelling to Amsterdam and thinking of getting a 2 or 3 day travel ticket with the return Schipol train ticket, however I am actually in Amsterdam for 4 days. If I use my ticket from Friday 21 August will I be able to use return ticket to Schipol on Monday 24 august?
Thank you

A 3-day ATT + a single fare by train from Schiphol to Amsterdam Zuid will cost you 25 + 3,70 = 28,70
A 3 day GVB multiday ticket and two single fares (Schiphol - Amsterdam Zuid) cost only 16,50 + 7,40 = 23,90

At Amsterdam Zuid you can switch to GVB metro or tram to get to the city centre.
The GVB ticket is valid for 72 hours after the first use so if you arrive in the afternoon on Friday it will still be valid on Monday morning. http://en.gvb.nl/gvb-dag-meerdagenkaart If you plan to visit a lot of tourist attractions the I Amsterdam card might be advantageous. This card costs 69 euro for 72 hours and includes GVB public transport. https://www.iamsterdam.com/en/i-am/i-amsterdam-city-card/what-is-included#

Hi Charly,

Welcome to the NS- Serviceforum. If you buy the ticket for three days you won't be able to use it for the Monday. It is also possible to buy a ticket Amsterdam Travel Ticket for 1 day or buy a seperate ticket for the return to Schiphol. You can find more information about the Amsterdam Travel Ticket on our website.

About any tourist seems to think the trip has to be made via Central-as G-J shows, this is utter nonsense and only adds to the total cost and makes that Central even more crowded.
The ticket expires with the return trip to airport. But it will also expire with the end of last day of validity.
