Luggage limit?

Hello everyone
I will be traveling from Amsterdam's Schiphol to Maastricht with my wife ans son
We will relocate from Egypt to the Netherlands so we may be carrying 4 big pieces of luggage, is this acceptable by NS?
Any tips and help will be very appreciated, thanks in advance

It is acceptable to carry luggage by NS. Each pieces of luggage may have a max size of 85 cm.

No problem as long as you don't block seats for other passengers.

If you can, try to avoid the rush hours durng weekdays (6.30 - 9.00 and 16.00 17.30) as during those times trains are usually very full and it can be difficult to find space for the luggage. Especially the double decker trains lack good space to put big pieces of luggage and a lot of times people end up occupying seats with suitcases. You may want to stay in the smaller area close to the doors, this also saves you carrying the luggage up or down the stairs of those double decker trains.

Also if your son is younger than 12, you don't need to buy a regular full price ticket for him. If he is younger than 12 you can buy a Railrunner ticket for him, this costs only €2.50.
