Good morning!
I have a question, I have a subscription “Traject Vrij” from Haarlem to Amsterdam Centraal, and in this weekends (18.01-19.01) it was not possible to use my subscription due to some works, so I had o travel via Hoofddorp, Schiphol and Amsterdam Lelylaan to Amsterdam Centraal for these two days. So I wanted to ask is it possible to get this extra money, which I spent back? Because I’m paying for my subscription stable amount of money, only for traveling from Haarlem to Amsterdam Centraal, but I was forced to travel differently. I also had the same issue in the end of October 2024/in the beginning of November 2024. On 27.10, 30.10-03.11 I had to use another route. So maybe you could help me with this problems.
My name is Viktoriia Shevchenko and my OV-chip kaart number is 3528 **** **** 2012

Thank you in advance!

You could have checked in at Haarlem and could have checked out in Amsterdam. You were forced to take a different route, but that is allowed when it is the shortest or fastest route. In that case there are no extra costs.

We cannot help you here with the extra amount you have paid. Contact Customer Service, 030 7515155. English is spoken,

I doubt customer service can help here, as a different route via Hoofddorp suggests the route 300 bus is used. In case of works NS also runs replacement buses which TS could have used without being charged extra.

Though NS asked for this to happen by deliberately turning local buses on in the journey planner by default.

NS ran replacement buses on the Haarlem-Sloterdijk route. Wasn't that clear?

Furthermore as Thom pointed out, a detour is allowed in such a case. Without extra check out and check in this should not cost extra.

I’m living in Heemstede, and neither app NS nor 9292 was not suggesting me bus from Haarlem, because I’m using bus 340 before. If I would have this option I’ve took it.
And if I'm not mistaken, I was not rude in my question, I just wanted to know if it possible, so I don’t really understand why you were.
