Hoi, ik heb onlangs een Flex Dalvoordeel abonnement genomen. Ik heb dus 40% korting in de daluren. Als iemand met mij mee wil reizen met korting, moet deze persoon dan een abonnement hebben bij NS of is alleen een OV Chipkaart ook voldoende?

Do you have to buy tickets online or just tap them at the train station? You can bring +3 friends, I only want 1, how do they know how many people are traveling with me? I haven't used the discount yet.

Do you have to buy tickets online or just tap them at the train station? You can bring +3 friends, I only want 1, how do they know how many people are traveling with me? I haven't used the discount yet.
Discount tickets can not be bought at a ticket machine, but if your friends have an ov-chipcard (without NS Flex) they can load Combined Travel Discount (Samenreiskorting) at a ticket machine and then tap in with discount.
If they have NS Flex (Basic, Weekend Voordeel or Weekend Free without discount on weekdays), they can swich Samenreiskorting on in Mijn NS or the NS app.
If they don’t have an ov-chipcard, they can buy tickets online, see https://www.ns.nl/en/travel-information/traveling-with-the-ov-chipkaart/combined-travel-discount.html Beware that with those tickets, it is not allowed to continue a train ride in peak hours.
Your subscription allows up to 3 friends to travel with you. Each one pays for their own (discounted) fare, of course.
