Balance on my card

I don’t want to just leave the balance there on the card doing nothing.

This money will not be in your invoice. The balance on your card will remain there. Your journeys  that are not covered with your subscription will be charged at the end of the month. In normal circumstances your balance is useless and will not be used.

If you have NS Flex and added balance to your card later (which is not needed) you will have to get that back yourself at a service desk from a transporter. NS does not know about the balance, and loading at NS machines is not possible with Flex.

See here for where in your area. Tell them you have Flex because otherwise they may refuse to pay you back if the balance is more than €30.
