Claiming money back on OV card

Hi, I was travelling back to Amsterdam Centraal from Brussels with a valid Thalys ticket. However, when I was going through the gantry I forgot to scan my Thalys ticket and instead used my OV card. For that I was charged 20 Euro. I tried claiming back my money on the NS website but have to fill in a form that seems to cater only to domestic travel. How do I claim my money back?

Hi JGoh and welcome to our NS Community!

Seen as you already have your ticket, please fill in the end station the same as the beginning station, both Amsterdam Central. You will get a full refund, because you already had another ticket.

Since some time, they will not let you fill in the same station anymore (no travel, full boarding fee back).

You now need to contact Customer Service for that.
