OV-fiets: Deze kaart kan niet gebruikt worden, gebruik alstublieft een andere kaart.

Hello dear fellow NS riders.

Unfortunately, my Dutch skills are not great so please excuse my use of English here.

I have a problem with my ov-fiets abonamment. It started when I lost my ov-chipkaart about a week and a half ago. I immediately reported the card lost in ov-chipkaart and applied for a replacement card. The card came in Wednesday (already over a week ago), it had all products reattached save for ov-fiets.

I had done this before with ov-fiets, so I went to mijndeurtotdeur and tried to couple the new card (Vervangende kaart).

Unfortunately, when I entered the new card number, the service told me that my new card cannot be used with ov-fiets:

"Deze kaart kan niet gebruikt worden, gebruik alstublieft een andere kaart."

As I have my previous card blocked and reused, I tried doing this with both of my cards (both the previously blocked one and a newer one) but they both yielded the same message. My card cannot be used with ov-fiets.

Since I couldn't find the telephone number to ov-fiets, I tried using the email address: info@ov-fiets.nl

I described the problem in my emails, how I tried binding the new card with the abonament using mijndeurtotdeur, how it did not succeed, etc... Unfortunately, I was told how to bind the card as if they didn't read my email:

This repeated three times.

Once I had an interaction where the service worker noticed that I had tried to couple the new card instead of the card that I had previously blocked and advised me to couple it with another card. I did but, unfortunately, the result was the same.

I have no clue what to do here. My idea is that I should ask for another replacement card from ov-chipkaard and hope this time it will be possible to bind it with ov-fiets.

AJ Jarmoniuk, welcome to the NS forum. So you lost your OV-chipcard, applied a replacement card, but unfortunately you cannot connect your card with your account. Please send your personal details, number of your OV-chipcard and your email address through a private message. You can send a private message by clicking on my name and then 'stuur bericht'.

Is it a personal of an anonymous OV-chipcard to which you are trying to couple your OV-fiets subscription?
Personal; it's not possible to bind anonymous cards.
Maybe your old card still isn't blocked properly, so OV-fiets still thinks your subscription is already coupled to another working OV-chipcard and therefore forbids coupling it to a new card. A forum moderator should be able to check the status of your lost OV-chipcard.
