Return ticket or not

I live in Sweden and have booked a weekend in Texel with my daughter and grand child. We are arriving in Amsterdam tonight and will go to Den Helder by train tomorrow morning. But when I printed the tickets I had bought on your website I realized that they were valid only for a retun the same day.
I could not find any information on how you buy a return ticket for some other day, on Sunday in this case. Why must your websites be so difficult to understand?
Now a lot of Money is gone and I am really sorry.

Sorry to hear this. A return ticket is always for the same day. You do need to buy a one way ticket for Sunday. The Dutch system does not work the way as you expected, unfortunately.

For sunday a group-ticket may be a good idea in the case your granddaughter is more than twelve years old. In the case she is younger a Railrunner for € 2,50 will do.

Jag var i sverige och jag kan några ord, jag behöver en översättningsmaskin.
Och jag behöver också en översättare för att förstå holländska, och det går för det mesta bra, utom när jag ska köpa tågbiljetter!!!

I would suggest to contact customer services either by phone or facebook/twitter about this. Although the rules say it's not possible to change the tickets, chances are that they will help you out of courtesy
I have had long chat with custom service but it ended with an absolute NO.
Maybe I try to talk to some nice person at the counter in Amsterdam egen leaving for Den Helder.

Ingen chance har de, tyvärr.
There will horrible endless Qs there by other confused tourists and you will get just the same answer. And any ticket as such is non-refundable on the day printed on it-it could have been used.
As to got there you need to use bus+ferry+Bus again on island-buy a dayticket for that at the small office of connexxion/Overal beside the station in den Helder.
What NL and SE now have in common is that one cannot pay with cash on bus/tram, only cards.
However, there is still no need to have all those tickets on fone or print, as any ticket can still be bought-same price, from NS machines. I think there state DAYreturn (in fact a return cost exactly 2x the single fare-there is no discount)
