Please help me, I have no experience in train travel.
I bought the ticket on the NS app from Amsterdam Central to Eindhoven Central via Schiphol Airport. At the airport it is necessary to change trains, and to take the train to Eindhoven.
But on this train my ticket, bought on the NS app, was invalid. Because the blue train to Eindhoven is of another railway company.
And I had to buy another ticket on this train to get to Eindhoven.
My 1st question is: why does NS sell tickets on trains where their tickets are invalid?
And 2nd: how can I get my money back for that ticket?
Can anyone help me with some advice?

However, when I lookup this trip in the app it doesn't give a price or ticket options. So that's already a sign that regular tickets aren't valid. So I'm a bit puzzled how TS managed to buy a ticket in the app, that would only be possible by selecting another option on the same day and buying the ticket that way. But that ticket would still not be valid for travel via Schiphol as that's a detour .
Hi LiLLia. Once you have purchased a ticket in the NS app or on the NS website, there's no way to return it and get it refunded.

Regarding your first question: NS doesn't sell tickets on (board of) trains. Most regular tickets are valid on almost all trains, special discount tickets only on NS trains (sometimes even only during a specific time frame), not other operators.
On a side note:
There are quite some complaints here on this forum about refunding tickets. In general my advice is (this does not apply to the Arriva night train):
If you didn't purchase a discounted ticket: in the future it may be easier to not purchase a ticket but use your bank/debit/credit card to check in and out. Then the correct (full fare) amount is automatically charged, and you can decide last minute when and where you want to go. See https://www.ovpay.nl/en for more info - this works in all Dutch public transport, train, bus, etc.
