Hoorn to Amstelstation

Hello all, 

 

Recently i moved in Hoorn and i remember that not long ago there was a direct Sprinter from Enkhuizen going to Amstelstation Amsterdam and vice versa. I dont know what was the terminal though.

Is this line totally canceled or its going to work again? That would be really convenient without having to stop in Amsterdam Centraal and change to the Metro which is usually super crowded during peak hours. 

By the way, also the IC train coming from Enkhuizen to Amsterdam Central is very crowded and some times i dont find a seat. Not cool :(

Starting Monday Octobre 3rd there will be additional trains during rush hour (two in the morning, one in the evening). This should provide some relief for the overcrowding in the regular intercities during the busiest peak. From December 11th, the regular intercity's will have terminal station Heerlen again from Mondays till Thursdays, calling in Amstel station. Fridays till Sundays service will be limited to Enkhuizen - Amsterdam Centraal though.
