Today I with two my friends went from Dordrecht to Rotterdam blaak, made a check-in, and then made a check-out, after which 24 euros were withdrawn from the cards. The duration of the trip is 10 minutes, one stop. In the NS app the ticket costs 4.60€. When we returned, the same thing happened. Took 24 euros from each card. Why did it happen? How to return money? 

You probably did not check in and out at the poles of the same company. When a check in or check out is missing, you may be charged for 20 euro’s. Check your travel history and you will be sure. It depends on what happened where you will need to go to have your money back. 

When you e.g. check in at NS you do need to check out at NS after your journey is completed.


Contact NS Customer Service (phone +31 30 751 5155 is fastest) to have it sorted out.

Be aware that not you but the card owners themselves should call, unless if you are the contract holder for their cards.
