Also, on the weekends, a connection from Purmerend to Amsterdam is only one train per hour.

As far as we can see, there is interest by people living in the area of Purmerend to get transferred to Amsterdam Central and Utrecht directly by train. So, an extra stop would help both the citizens of Purmerend and the train company. This will benefit the situation https://www.rodi.nl/purmerend/325159/station-purmerend-krijgt-in-de-spits-intercity-verbinding-met-a?fbclid=IwAR3hRlefwyMfSGwsiXeKDXcfttbzxpT1SV0eG0cnakL-7dDHRcWM9yzn7d4 and this happens only 3 times for 4 days per week.  Changing trains to Zaandam is a useless situation that takes nearly 20 minutes instead of the 2 minutes that would take the train if it stops at Purmerend.  Also, the buses help this situation, but it takes a lot more time and money for those using the NS subscriptions. The transfer in Zaandam takes two minutes (between the Sprinter Hoorn - The Hague Central and the IC Schagen/Alkmaar - Maastricht). The twenty minutes is only early in the morning and in the evening.     Thank you for your kind

Why is there not a direct connection between Purmerend and Utrecht daily? Many people work in the science park that lives in Purmerend, which would be a great relief. Also, adding more direct connections to Amsterdam Central would be wiser.The Intercity Enkhuizen-Hoorn should make a stop at Purmerend. How can I advise the council?
