I have Eurail Global Pass. Do I need to pay the Supplement when using IC from Amsterdam Centraal to Rotterdam Centraal?

For the regular IC train between Amsterdam and Rotterdam (via The Hague) you wil not need to pay a supplement; however this is not the case for the IC Ditect between Amsterdam and Rotterdam via direct the High Speed Line.

For international (cross-border) travel, a supplement is never needed.
Eurail doesn’t allow domestic travel, so your journey is inbound/outbound and therefore exempt from supplements (or seat reservation which NS trains don’t have).

I stand corrected. Apparently it’s different when the Eurail/Interrail pass is bought from abroad or in the Netherlands.
When bought in the Netherlands, they allow for one outbound and one inbound cross-border trip (no surcharge/supplement needed).
Alternatively and as stated by others, there are plenty of regular intercity trains between Rotterdam and Schiphol Airpoirt via Den Haag/Leiden or even Haarlem (worth a visit!) that don’t require the HSL supplement, but take about 25 minutes longer.
When travelling to/from Amsterdam Centraal, you might as well take those.

When bought in the Netherlands, they allow for one outbound and one inbound cross-border trip (no surcharge/supplement needed).
Eurail has no concept of inbound or outbound, only Interrail has. The conditions do not depend on where you buy either of those passes.

- Het lijkt me een goed idee om op de pagina over de IC Direct-toeslag te vermelden dat je met een internationaal kaartje (waaronder Interrail en Eurail) geen toeslag nodig hebt, bv. onder het kopje "Goed om te weten”. Daar staan ook een paar andere uitzonderingen, dus dat past er goed bij. Die informatie is nu alleen te vinden in de voorwaarden voor de IC Direct-toeslag, als je die al weet te vinden.
- Zelfs als je online een IC Direct-toeslag gaat kopen, is er geen verwijzing naar de voorwaarden van die toeslag. Dat lijkt me ook een probleem. Ze zitten overigens verstopt in het document "Voorwaarden Toeslag en Geld terug bij vertraging bij de Intercity direct en Intercity Den Haag – Eindhoven (HSL) van NS”.
