I wanted to ask if there is latency expected while passing the borders from NL towards Germany with train, so as to take a flight from Dusseldorf

In general trains in Germany are often late. You can never be sure.It is also  wise to take an earlier train on  a trip to Germany. You cannot always rely on the trains from Arnhem to Dusseldorf Airport. Quite often you do need tot take a replacing bus for a part of the journey. Or there is al lack of employees. This is always with delay. In general; be informed whether the train rides or not an do not take the last possible train.

When it works, it is a nice connection.

Do you mean delay? Trains not arriving on time?
