NS Flex weekend did not work

Yesterday I made an “NS Flex Weekend Vrij” for my card in the NS system.  The NS Flex Weekend package says I can take the train for free on weekends, but yesterday I took the train and it charged me, then I took the train back and it charged me again. Why could this have happened? Is there any possibility to get my money back?

When you don't have NS Flex yet and you order it for an existing OV-chipcard, you need to activate it at a ticket machine. You will have received an email with instructions on how to do this. It sounds like not activating it could be the problem.

In any case, this community is meant as a place where travellers can be helped by other travellers. We are not NS employees, do not have access to customer data and cannot help you with this situation.

You should contact customer service directly to speak to an NS employee. They can see if this is indeed the issue and can also reimburse you. This can be done by phone; they are available 24/7 at 030-751 51 55. You may also contact them by chat (click the link Chat with NS on this page) or by sending a message on X (formerly Twitter) or Facebook.
