hi i already have an OV card (flex) and I bought two new subscriptions (the off-peak free one and the IC free one) yesterday. Do I have pick up the order at a machine to activate the new subscriptions?

No; changes within NS Flex are active once you've received the email confirmation. Activation at a ticket machine is only required if you order for an existing OV chipcard that does not already have NS Flex on it.
