Hi, I have a question regarding weekend season ticket,
1st jan 2025 falls on wednesday. It is public holiday as per NS holidays list. Using the weekend season ticket, can I checkin after 630 PM on tuesday (31st dec 2024) similar to actual weekend hours that starts on friday evening itself?

No. You'll travel for free with a checkin after 0.00h 1-1-2025.
No you can't: validity on public holidays is the same as on weekends, but that doesn't change anything to validity on the day before.
If you are making a long journey on 31 December, you can take out NS weekend free extension with a 40% discount in off-peak hours for €3.40 extra or 40% discount during off-peak
You can optionally change your subscription daily after 1 month (or cancel it).
Please note that on 31 December, train traffic will be stopped around 8PM rest of the day. Plan your trip in the trip planner
It is possible that your destination cannot be reached during off-peak hours after the evening rush hour.
