Recently, I realised that the majority of validation machines at Tilburg Reeshof station do not function.
After tapping your OV-card on the machine, the beep sound will be audible. HOWEVER, the check-in/check-out records could not be found on the NS app or website. The NS app believed that I forgot to check in/out and issued a fine of 20 euros. I therefore contacted NS customer service. They requested that I contact them five days later, but kindly agreed to amend my travel history. They also suspect that my OV card is dysfunctional.
Even though, I believe my OV-card functions normally and suspect the validation machines at Tilburg Reeshof are at blame. Therefore, I would like to know if anyone has encountered the same problems with the validation machine that conceal the absence of a check-in/check-out?
