E ticket for my daughter ( daagkaart) don't let to open gates on a station !!!!!!!

The QR code on the ticket should work like normal. Is the ticket she has for today? Was it already used before? You can always contact the staff on site if further help is needed!


At the right side there is a broader gate with ‘Scan ticket’ and a kind of transparent glass detector. Open your ticket and put it with the square code before the glass. It should open in the case it is valid for today. Otherwise press the edit: info button in the case it really does not work. Be sure to have the valid ticket at hand when you have passed the gates.

 

 

 


You should try to put your screen brightness higher. Sometimes the gates doesn’t work well, if put the brightness higher, opened the e-ticket, put the phone screen down at the glass of the gate and it still doesn’t open, try another gate. Sometimes that will help.

 

If all of that isn’t the case, check if the date on the ticket is correct.

The Young Person's Day Ticket (Jongeren Dag Kaart) is valid during Off Peak hours only and valid for NS trains only.

 

Question for @MoDe : Why a gate pass limit for a day ticket, and how could that technically work for a QR code ticket?

So it's not documented.

It's besides the point that some people know it. In addition, it should be documented so that new users will also know about it and won't be surprised.

Dat je met een jongerendagkaart niet onbeperkt door poortjes kunt, staat nergens op de NS website. Wel zijn er vragen over gesteld op X en de community, omdat jongeren na een aantal keren poortjes gepasseerd te zijn ineens voor een gesloten poortje stonden. Dit liniet is mogelijk ingesteld om fraude te verminderen. In het verleden werden jongerendagkaarten nogal eens gedeeld.
