Supplement Schipol to Breda

Question

Kindly advice if I need the supplement to travel to Breda from Schipol.

I have a NS flex and take the Direct train to Brussels without transferring at Rotterdam. I was charged on train once for not having the supplement, so my understanding is that I have to take the supplement even if I am not getting down at Rotterdam? Kindly confirm.

Also, when I tap on the red pole for supplement at Schipol do I need to tap out again? Asking since I have been marked as no checkout a couple of times.

You need indeed a supplement. If you tap on the red pole at Schiphol the supplement will be loaded onto your card. At the end of the trip you only need to tap out in Breda at the gates (don't use the poles on the platform, those are only for international passengers from/to Belgium transferring in Breda).
