what to do if I oredered the wrong date

Because of the long time international traveling and transfer, I booked a train ticket while waiting for my flight too quickly. After paid I realized it is one day later than I really need to travel. Can anyone help me with this situation? Can I have a change or refund to rebook?

Once you have purchased a ticket in the NS app or on the NS website, there's no way to return it and get it refunded.

If you didn't purchase a discounted ticket: in the future it may be easier to not purchase a ticket but use your bank/debit/credit card to check in and out. Then the correct (full fare) amount is automatically charged, and you can decide last minute when and where you want to go. See https://www.ovpay.nl/en for more info - this works in all Dutch public transport, train, bus, etc.

  1. Is it a domestic ticket?
  2. If so, did you book it in the NS app or on the NS website? In the NS app, there's a warning  before payment to check your data carefully because there's no refund possible. On the NS website, such a warning is missing, so NS can't refer to that.
