Welcome to the NS Community, beste heer Alsayed 😅

At 15:46 you checked in at Utrecht Centraal, the vitual boarding fee for that is € 20,00 but please ignore that, because at 15:48 you checked out.

Only If you then took a train and was seen by a conductor, you didn’t have a valid check-in and will receive a € 50,00 correction fee, but it surely looks like you left the station (Utrecht) and then checked in again to walk to the other side and checked out again, which is all good. Safely ignore the upper two lines in your transactions history, they don’t count.

So here we go… The 15:44 check-out at Utrecht Centraal is a solid clue! (thanks for the screenshot).

It seems you arrived at Utrecht and came from Harderwijk (or elsewhere) with a missing check-in and was seen by a conductor on your way to Utrecht. The € 50,00 correction fee then applies.

Missing a check-in (at Harderwijk?) is totally understandable, so the € 50,00 correction fee should be reviewed and corrected to the amount payable for Harderwijk - Utrecht (cost based on your NS Flex subscription, which should be € 0,00)*

Contact NS Customer Service (phone, chat, social media). Chat is preferred so you can send them the screenshot from the service desk printout.

If they don’t understand what actually happened, maybe a moderator here can assist you futher.

* This part of your screenshot indicates you have NS Flex Weekend Vrij or Dal Vrij).

Summary for NS Customer Service or a moderator: @Mohammed M.A.M.Alsayed travelled with a missing check-in from (probably Harderwijk) - Utrecht C.

........Missing a check-in (at Harderwijk?) is totally understandable, so the € 50,00 correction fee should be reviewed and corrected to the amount payable for Harderwijk - Utrecht .......

Nice one, Robert.

I do not entirely understand your €0 conclusion. If he has Weekend Vrij there is still something to pay on Friday afternoon, right ?

For Weekend Vrij, yes.

Lees gerust even mee 🙄

I rest my case.

@Mohammed M.A.M.Alsayed have you contacted NS Customer Service?

I seriously think the € 50,00 correction fee for your journey to Utrecht C on 14 Jun should be reviewed (if it was not automatically adjusted by the system already).

This traveler traveled without checking in, so he did not have a ticket. This became apparent during a check by the conductor. It is not up to us to determine whether leniency will be given for the correction/fine amount. NS customer service decides on this.

The NS Servicebalie (21) Utrecht Centraal ON CARD products and travel history printout dated 14 june 2024 gives no clue to what kind of NS Flex subscription this is. Could even be Flex Basis.

NS Flex ON CARD saldo use always is E 0,00. Real trip pricing is done at a later time. See MijnNS travel history and invoicing for that.

Clearly a check-in is missing on 14 june. Let us hope this is a "first offence".

P.S. What happens to the on card saldo after missing a check-out. Does it stay at minus E 20,00? What then to do if you want to travel again at a later time?

When checking in without a subscription, €20 is deducted from the balance on the card. A missing check-out can be corrected via www.uitcheckgemist.nl or NS Customer Service. The difference between the €20 and actual cost for your journey will be available as an order on a machine.

The balance on a card is allowed to go negative -€4, so you need at least €16 to be able to check in for trains.
