Charged twice


I bought a ticket from Amsterdam centraal to the Hague centraal yesterday through the NS app. However when I scanned it at the gates, it kept saying error, wrong bar code, however all the details were correct (direction of travel and date of travel). For this reason, I had to tap in with my credit card, therefore ended up paying twice for the journey. Therefore I would like to request a refund for the ticket that I was unable to use.

Never tap in if you already have a valid ticket. Instead, ask any staff or push the "i” button on the information column, so they can open the gate remotely.

If you tapped in once, then ask a refund here.

Normally you can't get money back for unused e-tickets. You can try the customerservice. You can reach them by Phone, X, Facebook or chat.
