I had to go from Rotterdam centraal to Amsterdam Centraal on the evening of tuesday 24th of september. As all the intercity direct were cancelled, I had to take a regular train (30 minutes longer) but I had already bought the intercity supplement.

How can I get a refund for the supplement?

It was an eticket for group, 6 people, so 6 supplements (6*2,90€ = 17,40€)

The complaints forms don’t ajust to my situation so the refund is not accepted.

Hi StephP,

The easiest way to get a refund for the intercity direct supplement would be to contact NS support thru Twitter/X DM's or on the NS customer support page thru their live chat.

If you are delayed by more than 15 minutes, you are entitled to half of your ticket price. If you are delayed by 30 minutes or more, you will receive the full amount.

Going to https://www.ns.nl/en/customer-service/refunds/refunds-for-delays-on-a-domestic-route.html, select hight speed line.

The problem is that it is not a real delay of one train, it is that we couldn’t use the quick direct train because all were cancelled but we had already paid for the supplement with the ticket.

Thank you anyway.

Delay is not only about departure time. It is also about arrival time. There may be money to be made here.

That's exactly the reason you're entitled to a 100% refund.
