Invoice of Ns flex

Hello! I have a Ns Flex dag voordel ticket and recently received an invoice for my travel costs but I am confused. I use the automatic topload on my OV Chipkaart, which means the money gets directly pulled from my Bank account. I also see the transactions on my bank account from when there was money put on my ov chipkaart. I dont know why i have to pay an invoice seperately for my travel costs, when the money gets deducted from my bank account anyway?
Thanks in Advance,

Ella

Hi ella.05,

With NS Flex the balance on your OV-chipcard isn't used anymore. So you don't need to put money on it. All subscription and travel costs (including those for bus/tram/metro) will be specified on the invoice and deducted from your bank account monthly. The day you ordered NS Flex the automatic reloading was also cancelled automatically and the money that was on your chipcard at that moment was returned to you on your first or second invoice. (description ‘Klanten Service')

If you've put money on your chipcard afterwards, you can ask ov-chipkaart.nl to transfer that money to your bank account.

So that means that I still dont have to load any money on my Ov-chipkaart (like with the automatic reloading) but that I have to pay my monthly travel costs by invoice every month because the NS Flex ticket just uses invoice as a payment right? The only part that is confusing then is that there still was money pulled from my bank account, even after I activated my Ns flex ticket on my Ov chipkaart.

Did you activate NS Flex at a machine?

Automatic loading is billed about a week later, so check your bank statement for the moment of automatic reloading, it will be in the description. It was probably from before you activated NS Flex.

Yes I did activate it at a machine at the 15th december. The last money pulled from my bank account was from the 18th december, so it does make sense that it was just because the automatic reloading takes some time!

Thank you very much for your help!!

I recommend to get in contact with our Customer Service to find out if you did in fact activate NS Flex correctly. If NS Flex has been activated correctly, then I recommend to get in contact with OV-chipcard about this charge.

Seems you're good.

See the details of the 18 december bank transaction, it will show the date and time when the automatic reloading actually took place.

You can also fill in your card number at https://www.ov-chipkaart.nl/en If NS Flex is active, the balance will show € 0,00 (and a message that automatic reloading is turned off).
