I have traveled on 5th of May. Although it was liberation day(public holiday), i see travel fee in my travelhistory and invoice. Did weekend vrij not valid on that day? Can you please explain why weekend vrij is not valid for that journey. Can i receive a refund for the travel fee?

May 5th was not a holiday for NS this year. This is only the case every five years (2020, 2025, 2030, etc.). Since it was not a holiday for NS you can not get a refund.

+3LIberation Day (5 May) is only a national holiday every 5 years.
