missed check in and check out

Im new in Netherlands and using ov chipkaart. I had no idea that you have to check in and out in transfer stations. So i got charged 20€. When applying for refund I accidentally wrote the ending station instead of transfer station where check in was missed and therefore refund was unsuccessful and now is under tag exception. Is there a way to fix this?
