I would like to order a ns ticket for a tourist friend. I have “Flex Dal Benefit” , how can I order a ticket with discound and also board to intercity.
while ordering I get 40% discount but it does not say if with the ticket we can board intercity as it does not include 2.9 surcharge amount and dont know how to pay it ?

If needed, the IC direct (Schiphol - Rotterdam) surcharge can be loaded at the red poles on the platform using any debit or credit card. In off-peak hours, it’s only € 1,74
There is no supplement for regular intercities in The Netherlands? Are you using the Intercity Direct between Schiphol and Rotterdam? If you are not, it is correct there is no supplement, as it is not required.

It doesn’t need to be attached. When you are checked by a conductor, first show your bank/credit card to prove you have the IC direct surcharge and then your ticket (printed or in the NS app).
