Can I Use an NS Subscription for Arriva Sprinters When Traveling from Nijmegen to Venlo?

I currently have a monthly NS subscription for travel between Eindhoven and Venlo, which I use regularly for work. Next month, I’m moving to Nijmegen and plan to subscribe to an NS monthly pass for the Nijmegen-Venlo route. My question is:

  • Will this NS subscription cover travel on Arriva Sprinters as well?
  • Or do I need to cancel my NS subscription and purchase a separate ticket or subscription for Arriva services?

regelmatig gebruik voor werk. Volgende maand verhuis ik naar Nijmegen en wil ik een maandelijks NS-abonnement nemen voor de route Nijmegen-Venlo. Mijn vraag is:

  • Dekt dit NS-abonnement ook reizen met Arriva Sprinters?
  • Of moet ik mijn NS-abonnement opzeggen en een apart ticket of abonnement voor Arriva aanschaffen?

Arriva is the only operator on the direct line between Nijmegen and Venlo. However, you can still buy a monthly subscription for that route through NS. Just remember to use the right gates and poles in Nijmegen and Venlo when you travel by Arriva.
