Dear NS Team,

 

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request your assistance regarding a theft that occurred at the bike parking area near Wijckermolen 1, Beverwijk, on December 11, 2024, between 20:00 and 00:00.

 

My bicycle (Ouxi V8, black) was parked in this area, and one of its batteries was stolen during this time. I understand that a camera is positioned to monitor this location, which might have captured footage of the incident.

 

The police have been informed, but they are unable to review the footage due to the time frame involved. Therefore, I kindly ask if NS can assist by reviewing or providing the relevant footage to help identify the perpetrator.

 

The details of the incident are as follows:

 

Location: Wijckermolen 1, Beverwijk

 

Time Frame: 11 December 2024, 20:00 – 12 December 2024, 00:00

 

Bike Description: Ouxi V8, black, with damage to the battery housing

Have you contacted the staff of the bicycle shed? Beverwijk is one of the few bicycle sheds where there is always staff present. Perhaps the staff noticed something? You will not receive any assistance from NS, they refer to the police and the police refer to NS.

You can contact the national ombudsman, maybe they can help you to force the police to request the images.

Unfortunately, the police are facing a major staff shortage, which means there is not enough capacity to handle all cases.
